Earlier this year, Hailey Bieber shared her favourite skincare products on her Instagram stories and lucky for us Elle Australia and then Women’s Health was quick enough to summarize them. The model and fashion influencer is gaining more and more cred as a beauty and skincare influencer it seems. We are super grateful that the skincare enthusiasts over at Elle captured what Mrs. Bieber really uses since her skin is flawless. Yes we know, of course, that her amazing skin should be attributed more to her genetics and age rather than the products she uses. But still we can’t help but want to buy her entire routine anyway! If it’s good enough for Mrs. Bieber, it’s good enough for us: to try at least once :) And lucky for us SKINSKOOL can help us do that in a much more realistic and affordable way. So all in, if someone would have to buy all of the products in Hailey Bieber’s skincare routine, it would cost a whopping $900.80. Yes take that figure in for a second. Made up of the who’s who of the skincare world – her routine is chalk full of all the iconic holy grails. “Iconic holy grail” status clearly does not come cheap, hence why the complete routine costs over $900. But we wouldn’t be writing this if we didn’t have some ideas to help you find all the dupes.
The Hailey regimen at a better price.
Let’s start with Hailey’s chosen facial cleanser. Your cleanser really is the foundation of your skincare routine. I personally love cleanser shopping because even at the highest end, it’s not “that” expensive. While some people might not choose to spend so much on a cleanser because it is a wash-off product, my opinion is that it is actually a super heavy lifter product. I don’t mind paying a relatively expensive price for a cleanser I really like as I see the experience as a very important step in your overall routine. It really does have to work, eg. DO something that you CAN functionally measure and also has to be a nice experience so that you want do it consistently. Consistency is the key to any routine and washing your face every day is a must. I remember once the only cleanser I had in the house was a creamy lotion cleanser by Avene which just didn’t take off makeup properly and every night I’d finish washing my face and end up with raccoon eyes.
Hailey’s routine starts off from the much loved, albeit slightly controversial Drunk Elephant brand (you either love it, or hate it) – she loves using the Slaai cleanser to remove her makeup. At $34 for 3.88oz it’s not the most expensive product but for a cleanser it comes in in the mid-range price category. Now the Slaai cleanser is a balm cleanser, also my favourite type of cleanser. Put it on dry skin and massage it around to create a balm to oil texture which is excellent at removing makeup. Balm cleansers are travel friendly as well. The first 3 ingredients are Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, and these just also happen to be the exact same first 3 ingredients of Clinique’s Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. So if you can’t find the Drunk Elephant brand or run out while at an airport – Clinique’s Take the Day Off cleansing Balm should do the trick. You can also check here. Pricewise it’s similar but like I mentioned, a price dupe is probably not that essential for this particular cleanser if you really like it. If you are looking for a cheaper cleansing balm – the iconic Banila Co. Clean It Zero balm cleanser is no fail and always works. No fancy smell or luxury experience but it does the job.
The next staple for Hailey is her everyday moisturizer which happens to be Augustinus Bader’s The Rich Cream $265 for 50mL. Now this one is one of the buzziest products at the moment, one of our top Skincare Compare searches as well. We’ve done some research and found some top secret information on what is exactly in their patented TFC-8 mystery compound. All our Skincare Compare matches now reflect this new information and as a more affordable option we’d suggest June Jacobs - Intensive Age Defying Hydrating Complex coming in at a 71% Match Score. It’s still $120 for 60mL but that is less than half the price of Bader.
For further hydration, Hailey also likes to use the SkinMedica - HA5 Rejuvenating Hydrator ($120 for 30mL). According to Skincare Compare there is an 85% Match Score comparable for this product in brandMD Skin Care’s HA Collagen Booster. This is company that makes private label skincare for dermatology offices.
Luckily Hailey’s favourite vitamin C serum is Skinceuticals CE Ferulic $166, the most popular vitamin C serum in the world, and also one product that has many extremely high dupes according to Skincare Compare. It is one of top searched products and has a bunch of different comparables listed here. There are a lot of options at all different price points.
Hailey admits to not using sunscreen as much as she should (we didn’t either when we were in our 20s eek!) but the one she does like is EltaMd’s Broad Spectrum SPF46. Arguably one of the most popular sunscreens on the market from our community intel, there are quite a few comparables on Skincare Compare. If you’re in the UK, Dr. Sam’s Flawless Daily Sunscreen SPF50 is a 95% Match Score comparable and in the US, DRMTLGY’s Broad Spectrum SPF45 is a 93% Match Score comparable.
Masking is always fun and a great way to see results fast. Her current favourite is the Barbara Sturm Clarifying Mask $145. One a general note and a very dupelicious tip, when looking for a Sturm dupe, we always look at the German brand Babor for some comparables. That brand is always about half the price and always ranking high against Barbara Sturm.
